I was asked recently why I choose the name “the3rdobserver” as a username. At it’s core the name reflects how I wanted to express my view of the world through a story telling methodology (whether it be architecture of social media). I always found the Third-person omniscient narration to be the most interesting and insightful due to its all encompassing nature. In facebook, twitter, instagram, and even architecture there is a heavy focus on the first person point of view and thus has created a society with a very narrowed or skewed frame of view in my opinion. A society devoid of a holistic picture of the world around them is one that is ill-equipped to understand and react to it. To open up to an omniscient point of view one might bring a new dynamic to how social media and architecture can be portrayed. So in essence this is my experiment of sorts. How can I alter the perspective to enhance the narrative?
